Taking over the car
Conclusion of the rental agreement. and after paying the reservation and the rental fee, you can pick up the car right away at our location, or we can deliver it as needed.

Droping off the car
At the end of the rental period, you can drop the car off at our premises or we will collect it from you on request for the amount of our charges. Collection can be made with a tow truck or with 2 drivers on foot. The cost of this is shown in our price list. We will take a worksheet and photographs of any damage or technical faults, assess the condition of the car and list the tasks that need to be carried out to get it back to the condition it was in when we handed it over.The worksheet will be sent to you for inspection. For information on what exactly is and what is not normal use, please refer to the General Terms and Conditions.
Settlement, preparation of final invoice
Based on a spreadsheet, we will aggregate any costs incurred during the rental period: - refuelling - exterior/interior cleaning - chassis washing - engine washing - de-mudding - body damage - technical breakdowns - parking and speeding fines - any extra rental days. Any costs incurred will be deducted from the deposit paid at the start of the rental period and the balance will be refunded. If the deposit does not cover the costs, we will ask for an additional payment on the final invoice. If no costs are incurred, the full deposit will be refunded ! IMPORTANT that the rental contract is for a specific period of time, day/week/month, specifying the exact date of delivery of the car, therefore for cars delivered before the end of the rental period, we will NOT be able to refund the remaining period !

Any company or individual who meets the rental conditions (see GTC) We check all individuals and companies in the OPTEN company information system to determine whether our prospective Renter meets our conditions. He/she must not be disqualified from holding a business, not be related to a company that has been compulsorily dissolved or is in liquidation, and we check many other parameters! If no verifiable information is available for a particular Renter, a higher security deposit will be charged due to the higher risk.

To rent a car, we need the Renter’s exact name, address, tax number, billing address and a valid driving licence for the category of car from anyone who will be driving the car.

Please scan the following documents as required:

For companies: specimen signature, ID card, address card. If the process is not being done by the Managing Director or Company Secretary, we would ask for the power of attorney for the specific hire, duly signed and in the company name.

For private individuals: identity card, address card, tax card

For self-employed persons: ID card, Address card, Tax number,

NO,in principle the minimum rental period is 1 week, in some cases depending on the use 3 days are possible but this will be decided individually. One of the reasons for this is that “we’ll just go up the mountains for the weekend” Renters who are not experienced regularly wreck and damage our cars causing problems for our other long term Renters and not least for us as the Lessor.

In the case of an off-road vehicle used for work, a few hours in the hands of an incompetent person is enough to destroy the gearbox, clutch and dual mass flywheel, which is a serious service cost. After a 1-day rental, no one likes to pay hundreds of thousands in service and cleaning bills, and we don’t like spending hours washing the car out of the mud. After a serious off-road job, it can take several days to clean up the car, which means a serious time commitment and a lot of work. A crash of a weekend rental can ruin someone’s rental that was booked months earlier for work.

You will have to pay the expected rental fee for the period together with the deposit at the beginning of the rental period. In the case of a longer rental, the rental fee is always due on the first day of the rental period.

Yes, the amount of the deposit is shown on the data sheet of all our cars.

The rental fee includes the fee for the use of the rented vehicle, service costs arising from the normal use, winter/summer tyres or off-road tyres (see GTC), annual national motorway sticker fee, (on offer) KGFB insurance fee, weight tax.

Repair and service charges for improper use (e.g. accident, damage, defects, etc.), replacement car charges, company car tax, casco or assistance charges (as offered).

You can pick up our cars at our premises (Százhalombatta North M6 exit 25 – Benta Major (turn left before the Volán plant), Mon-Fri: 7:00 – 15:20) or you can request delivery of the car.

If you are more than 5 days overdue, we will send you a payment notice and discuss possible solutions. If the Renter is uncooperative and does not pay, return or contact us, we will assume that the car has been stolen and we will report the car to the police and enforce the overdue debts through a debt collection agency!

For pick-ups and off-road SUVs, there is NO casco, because no insurer will insure it . This is because a rental over several months can cause 4-5 different types of damage to a car at different places and times, which is impossible to “insure”.
 
For SUVs and cars there is CASCO, it varies for each car individually.

The main thing to understand is that a pickup or an SUV requires completely different driving skills and attention than a normal car. Also when driving the car behaves differently, the 4×4 drive is more accident-prone, the rear end bounces due to the flat springs, etc. On solid pavement and asphalt, putting the pickup in 4×4 drive mode is NOT allowed !!! On off-road terrain, extra care must be taken, as most accidents and injuries are caused by our Renters overestimating their abilities and getting into situations that end up in the ditch.

NO. Rental cars can only be used abroad by individual agreement and with written permission! There are several reasons for this, one being the very high kerb weight of off-road vehicles, which would be very expensive in the event of a tow, and the very high service costs abroad. In addition, there are many other reasons why we have decided not to allow our rental cars to travel abroad. For our permanent partners and cars on long-term lease, the conditions may differ! The cars are fitted with GPS so that the car’s system will alert you if you cross the border and the car can be blocked if necessary.

What happens if the car breaks down due to the Lessor’s fault?

We will repair the car as soon as possible (usually 1-2 days), if necessary we will provide a replacement car!


What happens if the car breaks down due to the Renter’s fault?

In the event of any breakdown due to improper use or failure to perform the car’s maintenance duties, the Renter is liable to pay the costs. This will be deducted from the security deposit in the first instance, if this does not cover the costs, the Lessor may ask for a top-up payment for the remaining amount.

Yes, but in all cases, consultation is required. You must give us the details/registration number of the towing vehicle. Depending on the weight and the rental period and terrain conditions, a towing surcharge may be applied due to the increased use and wear!

Yes, but take cleaning costs into account

We will thank you if you return the car cleaned and washed, however, if the car comes back dirty and muddy, we will deduct the cost from the deposit according to our price list!

We expect you to fill up the tank when you return the car. If not, we will refuel it and deduct the cost from your deposit!
